Protein for endurance athletes

Endurance — running, cycling, triathlon, swimming

Endurance training raises protein needs, but less than most people assume: around 1.4 grams per kilogram of body weight per day, against a published athlete range of 1.2 to 2.0. The larger nutritional lever in endurance sport is carbohydrate, not protein — which is the opposite of how most training-adjacent advice is written.
